Super soft but too delicate as yarn breaks

Bought the yarn as it was super soft. But just casting I had multiple occasion where yarn just pulls off and break. The final cardigan I knitted was super soft and warm but you see fibers piling badly on arms and anywhere that might rub. Not sure what project it really is suitable for anymore
